The course is provided for students enrolled in the UNWE "Economics" Program, undergraduate level, taught in English (3rd year, semester 5).

The acquaintance of econometrics discipline is considered as a core element of the qualification profile of the contemporary economist’s profession. The course aims in providing the undergraduate students with basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamental techniques for conducting empirical economic analysis. It suggests an overview of the main statistical methods used for estimating economic equations in the form of econometric models. The course content reflects the undergraduate level of the educational program and focuses on a collection of methods and applications that reveal the analytical potential and capabilities of the basic methods used in econometric analyses. After studying this course students will be able to understand the assumptions and limitations of econometric modeling, the basic methods for estimation of model parameters, and the mode of interpretation of empirical results.
